Intensive soil cultivation yields optimal results by undercutting plant root systems

The U 453 stubble cultivator is engineered for cultivating and preparing soil post-ploughing across all soil types. It loosens the soil and disrupts stubble, effectively cutting and mixing crop residues. It is suitable for cultivating all soils, particularly medium-compact, compact, and stony soils. Selecting machinery for soil cultivation is a personal decision for each farmer. Opting for the Rolmako cultivator ensures soil with a favorable structure and rich biological activity. These actions create better conditions for subsequent plant growth and development, leading to large and stable yields. The Rolmako cultivator effectively combats weeds, self-seeding, diseases, and pests, and ensures even mixing of crop residues with the soil. These factors guarantee a successful cultivation process.

Proven and refined through years of use, stubble cultivators

The U 453 stubble cultivator mounts on a tractor's 3-point linkage. Rigid tines, arranged in two rows, are attached to the cultivator frame to cut and mix crop residue. Discs and a string roller ensure crumbling and leveling of the soil layer. The machine's working element can be secured with either a screw or spring. Available tillage rollers include: string roller with straight bars, string roller with toothed bars, Packer toothed roller, tubular-ring roller, ring roller, spring roller, rubber roller, and spiral roller. The same options apply to the cultivator's working element. The manufacturer standardly uses a Vogel&Noot tine, but a Lemken tine can be optionally fitted. The basic cultivator comes with a 750 mm plough beam, while the Grubber Plus version features an 835 mm plough beam.

Loosening, mixing, leveling, and kneading collectively achieve the desired cultivation effect

Effective cultivation is facilitated by the integration of tines with undercutters, leveling discs with adjustable working depths, and an appropriate roller. Proven plough systems ensure reliable and aggressive soil penetration and cutting through crop residues. The main frame, constructed from thick-walled profiles, provides a robust structure to withstand even the most challenging conditions. The compact design and significant spacing of the tine rows ensure unobstructed operation and high efficiency. The primary purpose of using a post-harvest cultivator is to remove couch grass runners and destroy deeply rooted weeds, thereby reducing the need for chemical treatments. An optional catch crop seeder can be mounted on the cultivator frame at the customer's request.

Machine construction

1. Rear LED lighting beam

The selection of this accessory is crucial for machines operated on public roads.

2. Three-point linkage

The massive suspension system serves as a supporting element of the stubble cultivator. The solid tower of the three-point suspension system makes the machine durable and resistant to loads.

3. Cultivator tines

Czteroelementowy system płużny z redlicą sercową lub pięcioelementowy z dzieloną redlicą z zabezpieczeniem śrubowym, ślimakowym lub sprężynowym.

4. Grubber Plus version

Four-element plough system with a heart shaped coulter or five-element with a divided coulter featuring screw, auger, or spring protection.

5. Spring protection

Mechanical Non-Stop protection ensures comfortable operation, as it requires no part replacements. Rapid upward tilting of the tine and return upon collision with an obstacle maintains the predetermined working depth.

6. Leveling discs

Behind the two rows of tines, there is a leveling section. The discs operate on maintenance-free hubs, with their position adjustable both vertically and horizontally. The entire beam can be moved away from the tines towards the roller.

7. Tillage roller

To cultivate the soil effectively, selecting the appropriate tillage roller is essential. The choice depends on the soil type and the desired outcome. Each roller variant is designed for specific working conditions.

8. Adjusting the working depth

The operator can easily adjust the working depth using pins without additional tools.

9. PREMIUM working elements

The machine employs internationally recognized soil cultivation systems, utilizing readily available high-quality components from specialized suppliers.

10. Cemented Carbide

Sintered carbide-equipped working elements are recommended for heavy loads on large-area farms or in services cultivating non-stony soils. Carbide plates can extend the operating time of cultivator working elements by up to seven times.

11. Solid oversized machine frame

The solid frame construction is the most critical element of the cultivation machine. The substantial amount of steel used in its construction makes these robust tools capable of utilizing the high power of modern agricultural tractors, ensuring many years of operation on the farm.

12. Quality steel

Achieving a high-quality final product necessitates the use of superior metallurgical materials; therefore, in manufacturing the agricultural machine frame, we utilize fine-grained Swedish steels S500MC and S700MC.

13. Laser processing of sheets, tubes, and profiles

The application of laser techniques in the production of agricultural machinery facilitates precise cutting in high-quality, hard sheets, where conventional chip drilling methods are challenging and costly.

14. Steel shot blasting and powder coating

Proper preparation of machine parts combined with powder coating ensures a durable and robust coating. Additional maintenance and complicated care are unnecessary.
