Destiny

Rolmako bale wrappers are engineered for wrapping dried green grass and other withered plants formed into bales using baling presses. A specialized 500 mm or 750 mm wide stretchable self-adhesive foil is used to wrap the bales, protecting the ensiled material from air, moisture, and light. The ensiling process lasts approximately 6 weeks, after which the feed is ready for use. Haylage bales wrapped in foil allow for a significant reduction in nutrient losses compared to traditional methods. The quality of the obtained feed supports the use of this technology.

Bale wrapper Z 559

The wrapper is used for wrapping individual bales of semi-dry hay from grass and legumes during the harvesting process for green fodder ensiling. Properly wrapped bales retain all natural ingredients and juices, thereby increasing their nutritional value. The Z 559 bale wrapper is designed for stationary operation and is attached to the tractor using a three-point suspension system. It is powered by a hydraulic motor directly from the tractor pump. The machine features a universal film feeder, accommodating 500 mm or 750 mm wide film. Knurled rollers in the film feeder ensure reliable high-level operation. Hydraulic motors, bevel gears, bearings, drive chains, hydraulic elements, and other components used in the production of stationary bale wrappers are sourced from reputable manufacturers. The Z 559 wrapper is noted for its high reliability and low operating and purchase costs. It can be equipped with a reliable bale tipper, useful for daily tasks. The machine includes a practical counter that indicates the current number of wraps, allowing the operator to monitor progress constantly. It also comes standard with a simple knife for cutting the film.

  • Characteristics of self-loading wrappers

Hydraulic control

The Z 259 wrapper is operated via a lever with control cables. The levers provide manual control of the machine and activation of individual wrapping functions. The bale wrap counter assists the operator by counting the number of wraps and indicating the proper unloading moment.

Loading bales

The machine features a side-loading arm. The extensive wheelbase in the working position ensures that the bale is loaded onto the wrapper precisely and balanced. The low center of gravity provides maximum stability during loading.

Rotary table

The transport of the bale on the table is done with the help of two rollers that guide four belts. Thanks to the special construction of the table, the bale is kept in full stability, and auxiliary rollers hold and ensure its additional proper guidance. The rubber belts guarantee the smooth rotation of the bale, thereby ensuring the correct application of foil layers, which is essential for good preservation of the feed throughout the entire storage period.

Foil feeder

Tension rollers ensure optimal film guidance and reduce the risk of tearing. Easy roll mounting system. Quiet and virtually maintenance-free chain drive ensures optimal pre-stretching of the film. The feeder can work with film widths of 500 mm and 750 mm, in the first case performing 24 wraps, and in the second 18.

Unloading bales

When the turntable stops in the unloading position, a sturdy actuator lifts it to gently unload the wrapped bale without damaging the film. Self-loading bale wrappers are equipped with a mechanism that locks the turntable frame. This solution ensures the table always stops in the same place for unloading. The system prevents the table from changing position during this process.

Cutting and securing the foil

Self-loading bale wrappers provide fully automatic film cutting and gripping. Rolmako's mechanical film cutting machine holds the film in position, ready to wrap the next bale. After applying the designated number of layers, the film is held and cut without requiring additional operations. The gripper holds the film, releases it after wrapping begins, and grips it again while cutting the film. The film remains in this state until the next bale is wrapped. The modern design ensures the system operates reliably and consistently in all conditions.

Bale stacker

If necessary, the wrapper can be equipped with a vertical bale stacker, which is standard equipment for the Z 287 machine. A mechanical stacker is optionally installed in the Z 259 wrappers. Stacking bales vertically minimizes the risk of damaging the film during bale unloading.
