The U 382 cultivator is designed for pre-sowing soil cultivation. It loosens the top layer of soil, breaks up and crushes clods of crusted field surface, and compacts the substrate for better water absorption. The cultivator is particularly useful for cultivating plants that require an even field. The Rolmako cultivator effectively performs the pre-sowing procedure, leaving the field with soil loosened to the depth of sowing. During sowing, seeds are placed on a compact layer of substrate, covered with a loosened layer of soil, creating optimal water and air conditions for the initial development of plants.

Front roller, four rows of tines
and double rear roller
The lightweight design, featuring four working zones: a front string roller, four rows of strong spring tines, and an effective double string roller at the rear, is ideal for preparing compacted and even soil across the entire working width. The tine spring is equipped with reinforcement as standard and a basic share with a width of 35 mm or optionally 100 mm. The double rear toothed string roller ensures optimal depth maintenance during operation, excellent crumbling, and levelling of the field surface. The rear toothed string rollers also include an overload system and a ground copying mechanism.
Classic concept for pre-sowing cultivation
The cultivator conducts advanced soil processing. Its functions include loosening, leveling, crushing clods, compacting the soil layer at sowing depth, and eliminating weeds and couch grass runners. The U 382 cultivator adapts to the field's contours, ensuring precise surface adjustment and consistent pressure on the soil, thereby creating optimal sowing conditions. Its small and compact design positions the center of gravity optimally, enabling use with low-power tractors. Due to its low weight, these machines offer a broad working width and can be attached to a three-point tractor suspension system.

Tractors track looseners
When working with soils sensitive to compaction and reduced working depth, the use of tractor wheel track eradicators is advisable. Positioned directly behind the tractor, these eradicators lift, loosen, and level soil compacted by the wheels. The position of the wheel track eradicators can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically. The spring-loaded working element ensures consistent release force. Effective loosening of the tractor wheel tracks eliminates uneven plant emergence post-sowing.
Front leveling drag
The front drag is designed to pre-level and break up larger clods. Due to the leveled surface, all tines operate at the same depth. This is an effective levelling tool. Depth adjustment is achieved by inserting the pin into the appropriate hole without tools. The front drag is mechanically adjusted and features overload protection through spring amortisation. The precisely leveled soil surface enables even compaction and loosening of the seedbed. The front drag used in cultivators has a simple, solid, and reliable design.
Front diagonal string bar roller
The front string roller's function is to crush large lumps before the tines section. In Rolmako U 382 units, a 320 mm diameter roller is utilized. The strings are twisted relative to the axis, reducing susceptibility to clogging and sticking, and enhancing the crushing effect. In U 382 cultivation units, a front leveling drag can be used instead of the front string roller, providing a solution for lighter soils.
SU tine with reinforcement
Four beams, on which spring tines with straight coulters are placed, are the basic tools ensuring excellent soil mixing for sowing preparation. Four rows of working elements ensure excellent loosening and uniform soil mixing, even at low speeds. The standard equipment includes the SU 32 x 12 mm tine with reinforcement. It comes in two varieties, bent or straight, with a reduced tendency to clog with soil. The working elements deliver excellent results, even on compact and heavy soils.
Double rear roller with string cogged bars
String rollers loosen and level the upper layer of ploughed soil. The crushing and compacting section consists of two rows of left-handed and right-handed reinforced string rollers with a diameter of 320 mm. For improved working properties, they are equipped with toothed bars. The high rotational speed of the two rollers provides excellent compaction and optimal soil preparation for sowing, regardless of soil type. All rollers are equipped with a reinforcing tube inside, significantly increasing durability and protecting against damage.
Key properties
Concept of a seedbed cultivator
- preparation of ideal conditions for sowing
- finding a balance between the machine's weight and durability
- massive tower of the cultivator
- front leveling tool
- four rows of robust cultivation tines
- optimal spacing of working rows
- light tandem rollers at the rear
- rapid depth adjustment
- efficient and user-friendly unit
- low purchase costs.
Depth adjustment
Depth adjustment must be precise, quick, and easy to perform. The cultivator is equipped with clips for adjusting the depth of spring tines. Setting this parameter is independent of the tractor's hydraulic system. The selected depth is secured with a pin. Depth adjustments are made without additional tools.
Three-point linkage
The three-point suspension system is an essential structural component that significantly enhances the efficiency of the cultivation units. The substantial tower of the three-point suspension system functions as a load-bearing element of the cultivation unit, to which the frame with the spring tine section is attached. The design is noted for its outstanding stability and user-friendliness. It is equipped with multiple reinforcements and stays, achieving a balance between the unit's weight and its strength.
Automatic transportlock
The hydraulically folding arms are secured for transport by an automatic lock, which is released from the tractor cab. Locking for transport is achieved by a spring-loaded latch. The unit arms are released for unfolding by a single-acting hydraulic cylinder. This mechanism saves time needed to prepare the machines for transport on public roads and operates without operator effort, requiring only a check of the latch's correctness before departure.
Roller bearing units
By integrating maintenance-free bearings into the tillage rollers, we reduce machine maintenance time. The ductile cast iron housing is four times more durable than its grey cast iron counterpart. The combination of top and internal sealing provides superior protection for agricultural use. Rolmako prioritizes the smallest machine elements in every project, significantly impacting maintenance time and reducing the costs and duration of agricultural equipment inspections.
Oversized agricultural structures
Rolmako tillage machines distinguish themselves from competitors due to their superior weight. The company's development team designs agricultural equipment to endure the most challenging working conditions. Rolmako machines efficiently cultivate land in demanding regions worldwide without requiring additional loads. The substantial amount of steel in their construction makes these tillage tools robust, enabling the utilization of high-power modern tractors and ensuring long-term farm investment.
Steel providing an advantage
Increasingly larger and more powerful agricultural tractors subject the structural elements of agricultural machinery to significant stress, pushing them to their operational limits. Modern agricultural structures are expected to demonstrate high resistance to loads and an extended service life. Achieving a high-quality end product necessitates the use of superior-quality steel in production. Accordingly, we utilize high-quality Swedish fine-grained steels S500MC and S700MC, as well as carbon and boron steels for heat treatment and the wear-resistant Hardox. The use of these high-quality steel products ensures our agricultural equipment is highly durable and capable of operating at high speeds with high surface efficiency.
