Promote weed germination, remove them, and eliminate pests

Mulching units are primarily utilized for cultivating stubble following the harvest of cereals and rapeseed. These machines are ideal for initial post-harvest cultivations. The Rolmako SpringExpert mulching harrow establishes a microclimate in the upper soil layer, leveraging ground moisture to facilitate the rapid and uniform germination of weed seeds. Subsequently, the SpringExpert harrow rakes and eliminates weeds at the cotyledon stage, removing a primary food source for snails and thereby reducing their population while disrupting their nests. A similar effect is achieved in the elimination of molehills. The robust SpringExpert straw harrows are engineered for efficient operation and optimal cultivation results. Optional front-mounted discs cut and aerate the soil, precisely following the terrain to ensure consistent working section performance. These discs can be substituted with an aggressive cutting roller or Crossboard drag. At speeds up to 25 km/h, the mulch harrow breaks down the straw structure, promoting faster decomposition. Harrows also serve to level the soil and create a fine topsoil before or after cultivation.

A single device for stubble cultivation and pre-sowing applications

SpringExpert is a mulching harrow, thanks to which you will achieve increased yields and high-quality stubble cultivation right after harvest, before preparing the soil for the next crop. It can also be used in early spring. SpringExpert is the ideal machine for cheap and fast leveling and warming of the topsoil after winter, which accelerates the germination of spring crops. The high efficiency of the device is possible due to the well-thought-out design of the SpringExpert harrow, which can operate at a working speed of 25 km/h. Thanks to its design, the machine with a large working width can be aggregated even with lower horsepower tractors, while maintaining low fuel consumption. It is a device that uproots and evenly distributes crop residues on the stubble. Stubble cultivation is then significantly faster and more effective than traditional methods. It is possible to equip the device with an APV catch crop seeder with a pneumatic or hydraulic blower.

Decrease chemical agents and machine operating costs

The durable, extended tines of the mulching harrow operate at a depth of up to 3 cm. Their function ensures even straw distribution, thorough seed shaking, and the elimination of self-seeding plants and weeds. Vibrating tines mix crop residues with the soil displaced by the optional front working discs. Mulching units reduce water evaporation from the soil. The residual soil fosters a microclimate conducive to the germination of self-seeding plants and weed seeds, which can be targeted in subsequent treatments. Rolmako offers an optional additional row of cutting discs or a knife roller for shredding crop residues, targeting stem breakage at ground level to expedite crop residue drying, thereby depriving pests of habitat. A second pass with the SpringExpert mulch harrow, cultivator, or disc harrow achieves effective control of self-seeding cereals and weeds, offering a cost-efficient alternative to herbicides.

Machine construction

1. Rear LED lighting beam

Optionally, the LED lighting beam can be equipped with a backlit license plate frame for machines requiring registration at the transport office.

2. Three-point linkage

The massive suspension system serves as a supporting element of the mulching harrow. The solid tower of the three-point suspension system makes the machine durable and resistant to loads.

3. Mulching rods

A five-row working section featuring 16×750 mm bars, designed to ensure significant overlap of individual working elements. All rows can be easily adjusted hydraulically from the tractor cabin.

4. Adjusting the rod's angle of attack

The adjustment of the working angle based on field conditions for optimal cultivation is efficiently executed through hydraulic control. Rapid pressure adjustment is crucial under varying field conditions.

5. Leveling drag, front row of discs, or knife roller

The hydraulically controlled leveling drag is particularly suitable for spring soil cultivation and preliminary surface leveling. The discs are designed for aerating the soil without lifting it. The sharp knives of the roller offer an excellent cutting effect on crop residues.

6. Hydraulic adjustment of the front tool

Regardless of the tool we use before the main working section, the control is always hydraulic. The implemented flow divider allows for precise and even adjustment of the front section to work on all parts of the frame.

7. PREMIUM working elements

The machine employs internationally recognized soil cultivation systems, utilizing readily available high-quality components from specialized suppliers.

8. Cemented carbide

Working elements equipped with sintered carbide are recommended for heavy loads on large-scale farms or in services cultivating unstony soils. Carbide plates increase the operating time of the working elements of the mulch harrow or other soil cultivation machines by up to seven times.

9. Solid oversized machine frame

The solid frame construction is the most critical element of the cultivation machine. The substantial amount of steel used in its construction makes these robust tools capable of utilizing the high power of modern agricultural tractors, ensuring many years of operation on the farm.

10. Quality steel

Achieving a high-quality final product necessitates the use of superior metallurgical materials; therefore, in manufacturing the agricultural machine frame, we utilize fine-grained Swedish steels S500MC and S700MC.

11. Laser processing of sheets, tubes, and profiles

The application of laser techniques in the production of agricultural machinery facilitates precise cutting in high-quality, hard sheets, where conventional chip drilling methods are challenging and costly.

12. Steel shot blasting and powder coating

Proper preparation of machine parts combined with powder coating ensures a durable and robust coating. Additional maintenance and complicated care are unnecessary.

13. Robotic welding

The precision and repeatability of machine components are ensured by automatic welding, guaranteeing the highest quality component manufacturing for you. Our advanced robotic devices enable us to perform the most demanding welding tasks.
