Cultivation tools
Knife roller
The knife roller mounted at the front of the machine, in front of the disc harrow's working discs, is used for improved and intensive shredding of crop residues. The oblique arrangement of the knives ensures even distribution of the cutting force, resulting in optimal performance. Solid, maintenance-free bearings and knives made of boron steel are key features that ensure long service life. The closed core of the roller is exceptionally resistant to stones and clogging with crop residues. Double-sided knives sharpened on both sides reduce wear costs by half.
Crossboard drag
The drag is constructed from hardened springs and bent working tips. Positioned ahead of the disc section, it breaks up clods and levels the field, creating an optimal surface for sowing. The harrow is effective on stony fields as it does not bring stones to the surface. For challenging conditions, an optional stabilizing beam can be mounted to connect the working elements into a unified system for enhanced leveling. When a hard crust forms on the field surface, an aggressive skid with DoubleKnife tines is recommended.
Spring comb beam
The manufacturer optionally installs a beam with a spring comb behind the disc section, ensuring the straw is evenly spread across the field's surface, thereby preventing areas of high straw accumulation that hinder proper cultivation. Uniform straw distribution is crucial, as it ensures consistent development conditions for the next crop across the entire field. The spring comb is an effective tool that enhances cultivation, offering optimal starting conditions for sown plants.
Hydropack for the seeder
The Hydropack for a unit mounted on the tractor's three-point linkage system enables compatibility with any grain seeder. This version of the seeder coupler can be installed on a machine with widths of 2.7 m, 3.0 m, 3.5 m, and 4.0 m in a rigid format. Larger hydraulically-folded machines can be coupled with a seeder only in a trailed configuration, where a hydraulic seeder coupler can be mounted on the trolley. The seeder coupler in trailed machines is available in two versions: an optional trolley with a seeder coupler or a machine with a tire-transport roller equipped with a Hydropack.
APV aftercrop seeder
We equip our cultivation machines with catch crop seeders in partnership with specialists from APV, who provide a wide range of catch crop and fertilizer seeders. The complete product range and available accessories can be found on the manufacturer's website (https://www.apv-polska.pl). Utilizing APV catch crop seeders on Rolmako cultivation machines reduces unnecessary travel. APV devices ensure precise spreading of catch crops and subsowing, even in the smallest doses.
Tillage rollers
Kneading, compacting the soil, crushing clods, and leveling the field surface are the final stages of cultivation, performed by the rear roller following the working tools of the cultivation machines. The selection of the appropriate cultivation roller significantly impacts the entire work process and the functionality of the cultivation machine. At Rolmako, we offer a variety of cultivation rollers that differ in shape, material, external diameter, weight, and, most importantly, cultivation purpose. The choice of roller depends on the soil type and the desired cultivation outcome. Rolmako provides expert advisory services to ensure proper adjustment of the cultivation machine to the working conditions.
The primary properties
Maximum lifespan of disc bearings
The elimination of hub maintenance requirements minimizes maintenance needs and conserves time. Standard hubs can be substituted with SKF original maintenance-free hubs, offering three times the service life of other solutions. SKF quality ensures enhanced reliability, increased efficiency, and reduced operating costs. The service life of SKF hubs is substantially higher than that of conventional bearings, achieving this with relatively low ownership and operating costs. Composed of 100% bearing steel, the hub optimizes machine uptime and reduces agricultural machinery service costs.
Maintenance-free overload protection
Each disc is independently mounted to the frame using a 40 mm x 180 mm rubber shock absorber, ensuring consistent maintenance of the working depth, an aggressive cultivation effect, and protection against damage. Rubber spring elements allow optimal adjustment of the recessed discs to the soil contours. The rubber rollers prevent sudden impacts with their extended shock absorption path. This ensures the safety of the disc harrow frame and maintenance-free overload protection while maintaining the set depth.
Utilization of various disc variants
The optimized angle of attack is identical for both rows of discs, ensuring the machine follows the tractor precisely. The quality of the steel and the extensive experience gained through many years of production by the Italian company OFAS guarantee a top-quality product that has been approved worldwide. Discs with an aggressive tine are primarily used for working in fields with substantial straw. The disc tines facilitate easier machine penetration in challenging dry conditions. Smooth and fine-toothed discs are designed for shallower pre-sowing cultivation. The ALFA disc delivers excellent results on stubble after corn harvested for grain.
ALFA cutting disc
The profiled ALFA discs, with a significantly higher cutting and mixing effect compared to classic shapes of working elements, are a proven choice for farmers seeking optimal results. The profiled shape allows the disc to extract more soil and achieve better mixing and covering of plant residues. A large number of blades cut the stubble into small pieces, facilitating subsequent agrotechnical work. Recommended for all post-harvest crops, especially after harvesting corn for grain, the innovative ALFA disc 560 mm x 5 mm guarantees perfect cutting of crop residues.
Tyre transport roller
The independent chassis can be replaced by a tire roller. This solution significantly shortens the machine's length, resulting in improved turning capabilities. The tire-transport roller, with its large diameter and excellent rolling properties, operates efficiently on loose soil, ensuring even and deep soil compaction appropriate for pre-sowing requirements. Solid wheels with a tractor tread are resistant to stony conditions and enable trouble-free operation in wet conditions. The primary purpose of the tire roller is to compact the soil, enhancing soil water absorption. The tire-transport roller is available for machines with a rigid frame. Configured this way, and equipped with a hydropak, it creates an economical integrated seedbed set.
Hydraulic adjustment of working depth
Hydraulic depth adjustment ensures optimum comfort of use and significantly facilitates activities related to setting this work parameter. The hydraulic adjustment of working depth, which is easy and operator-friendly, is conducted using spacer clips on cylinders. This option is justified when frequent changes in the working depth of the machine's elements are required.
Bearing units of the roller
By incorporating maintenance-free bearings into the tillage rollers, we minimize the required machine maintenance time. The ductile cast iron housing is four times more durable than its grey cast iron counterpart. The combination of top and internal sealing offers superior protection for agricultural use. Rolmako prioritizes the smallest machine elements in every project, significantly impacting maintenance time and reducing the costs and duration of agricultural equipment inspections.
Various configurations available
Extensive export experience has enabled us to craft an offer aligned with customer expectations. Numerous configurations and additional agricultural equipment options allow us to adapt the device to specific field conditions. Years of dedicated efforts by Rolmako employees in enhancing the company's products ensure we deliver the highest quality products to the most remote regions, where they have proven effective in diverse soil systems.
Hydraulic drawbar
The disc harrow, equipped with an optional hydraulic drawbar, offers an additional function allowing for quick and gentle turning in the field using the intended cultivation rollers without the need for the machine's road wheels. The hydraulic drawbar, featuring an eye for the lower tractor hitch, simplifies connection to the tractor, increases each disc's pressure, and provides excellent stability during cultivation work and travel to the field. The optional drawbar is available with a fi 50 eye or a K80 ball hitch from Scharmüller. The drawbar with a fi 50 eye facilitates close attachment next to and below the tractor's rear axle, ensuring a reliable pulling point and improved energy transfer.
Steel offering a competitive advantage
Increasingly larger and more powerful agricultural tractors subject the structural elements of agricultural machinery to significant stress, pushing them to their operational limits. Modern agricultural structures are expected to demonstrate high resistance to loads and an extended service life. Achieving a high-quality end product necessitates the use of superior-quality steel in production. Accordingly, we utilize high-quality Swedish fine-grained steels S500MC and S700MC, as well as carbon and boron steels for heat treatment and the wear-resistant Hardox. The use of these high-quality steel products ensures our agricultural equipment is highly durable and capable of operating at high speeds with high surface efficiency.
Oversized agricultural structures
Rolmako tillage machines distinguish themselves from competitors due to their superior weight. The company's development team designs agricultural equipment to endure the most challenging working conditions. Rolmako machines efficiently cultivate land in demanding regions worldwide without requiring additional loads. The substantial amount of steel in their construction makes these tillage tools robust, enabling the utilization of high-power modern tractors and ensuring long-term farm investment.
LongSmart transport trailer
The demands of modern agriculture, high-power agricultural tractors, and increasingly shorter agrotechnical deadlines necessitate the design of tillage machines that can fully utilize their potential. The Long Smart transport system is compatible with all tillage rollers listed under the additional equipment for the U 693 disc harrow. The trolley is operated by folding and unfolding through two hydraulic cylinders. Its transport position is similar to other trolleys available in the market. However, in the working position, the wheels fold towards the tractor, positioning the entire mass of the trolley above the working elements of the U 693 compact disc harrow. This design provides benefits such as increased soil pressure on each disc, smoother and more stable operation, and the capability to work at higher speeds.
