Pre-sowing cultivation unit with tine cultivator, active harrow, or disc harrow
The machine is used to obtain a substrate for sowing or planting at varying depths (several to a dozen or so centimeters, depending on the crop). A tine cultivator supported by front and rear rollers can be employed for this purpose. For an active (rotary) or disc harrow, only the rear roller is used to maintain depth and compaction. The tine version is effective in ploughed cultivation with minimal crop residue in the top layer, where soil drying is a concern. A set with a cultivator and active harrow performs poorly in simplified cultivation systems. The active harrow's advantage is in fragmenting compact soils that are excessively dried after ploughing. A disc harrow is a relatively universal solution, performing well in both simplified systems and after ploughing.
